Aikido Demonstration at Martial Arts Spring Festival in Rochester

We had Aikido Demonstration at 25th Martial Arts Spring Festival today. Vic and Taka demonstrated as 17th demonstrator of 20 groups. Vic demonstrated Yokomen-uchi and Kosa-dori techniques in Randori style, Taka did Tanto (against knife) and Suwari-waza (sitting) techniques.  Many of audience concentrated on our demonstration, I believe. Thanks to Mike for supporting and taking video. Pictures are uploaded to Gallery. Check it out!

Shoulder to shoulder

We trained techniques against "Tsuki"(Punch) in Tom's class tonight. To get nice off centered position, we focused on shoulder to shoulder positioning. At the end of class, we enjoyed randori style training as usual.
Ten people attended today's class. From last week, we have a new member joined our school. Size of our dojo is getting bigger. That's nice.

Sunday training, Morote techniques

We trained Morote grabbing techniques today. Spacing was key point of today's training. How much space you have relative to your partner is something what we need to think. At the end, we practiced 13 JO kata training all together. Jump-in Mae ukemi (forward roll) practice in warm up was also fun.
